Stage of Development: Adult
Skeleton preparation of a stickleback fish. Stained with Alizarin red and imaged by fluorescence microscopy. This is an adult sticleback fish. There is no GFP transgene in this fish. The paraxial mesoderm gives rise to the skeleton. While the neural crest cells give rise to craniofacial cartilage. Transcription of genes often requires a transcription factor or transcription factors. This is a wildtype fish. Or is it a wild type fish. Is there a morphogen gradient? What about RNAi? RNA interference or RNA interference (RNAi)?
