Embryonic Patterning: Axis Formation
Organism: Frog (not Xenopus)
Stage of Development: Larva/Juvenile

Object Description

Lateral view of a live 4-day post-fertilization zebrafish larva. This diagram depicts the axes of development in bilaterally symmetric animals.  Anterior and rostral are toward the head.  Posterior and caudal are toward the tail.  Dorsal is toward the back.  Ventral is toward the belly or front. This is me making the description so much better. Posterior Dorsal adult stem cell. Adult stem cell. Apoptosis. Adaptive evolution. Neutral evolution.
